Dues Structure

NMASBO operates on a Fiscal Year of 07/01 - 06/30.


District/Charter/REC Member: membership is based on school district/charter enrollment. Only the billing contact (i.e., the Finance Director or Business Manager) for the school district, charter, or REC can renew their NMASBO membership.

Consultant – Individual Member: membership is for contractors working as a school business manager or finance consultant. This membership allows for 1 non-voting representative only.

NMASBO Professional Development and Networking

New Mexico ASBO provides programs and services to promote the highest standards for school business employees through professional development, recognition and effective management of available resources. Members can attend two annual  New Mexico ASBO training conferences at the discounted member rate, experiencing direct professional development sessions targeted at improving member job effectiveness, as well as providing numerous opportunities to network with peers from across the state. NMASBO also offers a week-long intense Boot Camp training for new school business officials, business staff, superintendents, or administrators.

The association provides information concerning legislative issues in New Mexico, the ever-changing world of school business management, and a reliable listing of companies providing products and services to schools.

Publications: Members are subscribed to the NMASBO Quarterly Newsletter, the official newsletter of the Association (published 4 times per year: Summer, Fall, Winter, & Spring).

Associate Membership Directory: Access to a list of current active and associate members including more than 100 reputable companies’ products and services for schools.

Broadcast Emails: NMASBO communication about upcoming events, training meetings, networking opportunities, and other important information.

Online Communities & Forums: information systems where members can post, comment on discussions, give advice or collaborate.

Representation: Volunteer opportunities on NMASBO committees to help bring issues and ideas to the association.

Conference & Networking Opportunities: Annual trainings and certifications at the Fall and Winter Conferences and Boot Camp. All members can attend the annual Spring Budget Workshop information sessions presented by NMPED and NMASBO.

Award & Recognition Programs: School Business Official of the Year and 25 Years of Service Recognition in School Business Management certificates & pins.

High School Student Scholarships: High School Seniors demonstrate need, show character, citizenship and dependability traits which indicate success at the high school level, and who have received acceptance into an institution of higher learning in the state of New Mexico are invited to apply for one of six $1,500 scholarships or the Annual Joni Heinsohn memorial scholarship for $2,500 from NMASBO.
